For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, ... Matthew 25:355hpug4i4eeq134btupnycfohjtl.JPG

Food Shelf Volunteer - Help the Food Shelf provide assistance to families in our community. This is a great family or youth volunteer opportunity for ages 11 and up. Volunteer hours are M-F, 9 am-3:30 pm, or by appointment. Frequency:  Weekly, monthly or as your schedule permits   Time Required: 1 to 3 hrs.

Dorothy Day Center Volunteer – Our parishioners help serve or cook meals on the fourth Saturday during February, April, June, August, October, and December. This is a great opportunity for the whole family. There are 2 shifts with about 8-10 people per shift. The first shift (1:30 - 3:30) prepares the meal. The second shift (3:30 - 5:30) serves the meal in a buffet line, and clean-up is done by the Dorothy Day staff. If you would like to work both shifts you can.  Frequency: Once a month or as your schedule permits. Time required: 2 to 4 hours

Creation Care Team - In the first week on the job, Pope Francis called on the faithful to be "protectors of creation, protectors of God's plan inscribed in nature, protectors of one another and of the environment." If you would like to support our parish community as it acts on Pope Francis' call, join us! Frequency: periodic meetings, 1 - 2 events a year. Time required: flexible.

Bloodmobile Volunteer - Each year, St. Jude’s conducts a blood drive to provide lifesaving support in conjunction with the Red Cross. We need volunteers to make phone calls, serve snacks, greet donors and/or drive donations to the Red Cross. Frequency: Once per year. Time required: 1 to 2 hrs. for calling, 4 – 6 hrs. on the day of the blood drive.
