Valentines in Manhattan
Feb 27, 2015
Thank you to everyone that braved the frigid temperatures and the biting wind to enjoy Valentines in Manhattan! We enjoyed a delicious dinner from The Lake Elmo Inn, listened to the sounds of Saints and Sinners from the start until dinner. Dinner was accompanied by the beautiful harp music performed by Brooke Knoll. We played three games for fabulous prizes, many people dressed up for the photo booth, and we enjoyed drinks from Times Square and the beautifully sculpted Valentine Sculpture for the Martinis to luge downward into our glass.
Many beautiful baskets and stellar auction items were bid on during the evening. Three needs were brought to our attention for Fund-A-Need: continued transportation for the seniors to Mass, music for the music ministry, and improvements in our signage.
We are grateful to the Committee and the St. Jude staff, we are grateful to the weekend volunteers, we are grateful to every person in attendance. We are also grateful to Father Cory for asking us to chair this great event. We were blessed to have the talented and devoted committee we did. Deb and Gary Zeien
