Financial Giving @ St. Jude of the Lake

“Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” -1 Corinthians 15:58

We fulfill our parish mission through prayer, participation, and generosity. United as faithful disciples of Christ, God will use our gifts to bear fruit in our parish, community, and world. Whatever the level of your current financial giving to St. Jude’s, I humbly ask you to increase it by 0.5% of your annual household income. If you’re currently giving 1%, please consider giving 1.5%; if 5%, please consider giving 5.5%. With this increase in generous giving, we will reach more of the goals that God wants to accomplish through us.

I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit – fruit that will last (John 15:16).

Thank you for your continued investment in the St. Jude’s parish family. By our collective prayer, participation, and generosity, our roots will continue to grow, so that many generations after us can benefit from the fruit of our lived discipleship.

Generosity

Over the past three years, we’ve fed 65-75 families per month from the food shelf, 78 children have been baptized, 24 couples have been married at St. Jude’s, our school enrollment has increased from 42 students to 73, and nearly 200 other youth have received religious instruction through Faith Formation classes. Additionally, we paid off our mortgage, remodeled the sanctuary, replaced the roof on the Ministry Center, restored the tuckpointing on the Church, and remodeled the ARK.

While I’m amazed by the fruit produced in the past, I’m confident that the best is yet to come! Now that we are debt free, we want to continue planting, growing, and dreaming big, but a factor that limits our dreams is financial restraint. We are the generations that God is calling to accomplish the mission of our parish. No one else can educate our children, feed the poor, and provide the Sacraments in Mahtomedi like we can. Those sitting in our pews and reading this letter are the ones who will carry our mission forward.

25/25 Match

Congratulations to St. Jude of the Lake Catholic School on receiving the Catholic School Center of Excellence 25/25 Matching Grant!

We were excited to kick off our campaign last weekend sharing the great news of CSCOE’s support again this year with the 25/25 Matching Grant.

We will continue to work toward the goal of $25,000 over the next several months. If you are moved to help us out financially to the 25/25 match click the button below.

On behalf of everyone at St. Jude of the Lake Catholic School, thank you!

Envelopes

Instead of electronic giving, you may receive envelopes to make your donation during Mass.

If you would like to receive envelopes please fill out the form below.

Stock Donations

You may want to consider making a gift of appreciated stock or mutual fund shares rather than a cash donation. A gift of appreciated property often provides increased tax benefits. Please contact your tax adviser to see if this makes sense for you, and then contact our Business Administrator, Michael Holdorph, for more information on how to donate stock.
