Financial Giving @ St. Jude of the Lake
We fulfill our parish mission through prayer, participation, and generosity. United as faithful disciples of Christ, God will use our gifts to bear fruit in our parish, community, and world. Whatever the level of your current financial giving to St. Jude, I humbly ask you to increase it by 0.5% of your annual household income. If you’re currently giving 1%, please consider giving 1.5%; if 5%, please consider giving 5.5%. With this increase in generous giving, we will reach more of the goals that God wants to accomplish through us.
I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit – fruit that will last (John 15:16).

It is heartwarming to see our parishioners participating in the life of our church with such joyful hope. So many of you continue to commit to prayer, reconciliation, adoration, and active participation in Mass whether that be in person or virtually. Still, others displayed exceptional generosity in offering financial gifts for our parish, school, and food shelf. Thank you for making St. Jude of the Lake Church and School an amazing place!
Additionally, over the past years, we have increased our students from 43 to 114 at the day school, we have restored the tuckpointing on the Church and school, remodeled the ARK, replaced the playground equipment and basketball hoops with all new equipment.
While amazed by the fruit produced in the past, I’m confident that the best is yet to come! We want to continue planting, growing, and dreaming big, but a factor that limits our dreams is financial restraint. We are the generations that God is calling to continue the mission of our parish. No one else can educate our children, feed the poor, and provide the Sacraments in Mahtomedi as we can. Giving to one of our three endowment funds will not only secure the future of St. Jude Church and School but will allow us to continue our mission for many years to come.

Stock Donations
You may want to consider making a gift of appreciated stock or mutual fund shares rather than a cash donation. A gift of appreciated property often provides increased tax benefits.
